Alisson Becker has revealed some ambitious targets he’s hoping he and his Liverpool team mates can achieve this season.

The Merseyside club finished third in the Premier League last season despite suffering injuries to key players including Virgil Van Dijk, Joe Gomez and Jordan Henderson. 

Boosted by the returning Van Dijk, Liverpool have started the season in fine fashion, winning both of their opening two games of the season against Norwich and Burnley without conceding a single goal.

The Brazilian international goalkeeper believes the club should be looking to win every game they play this season, but admitted he was satisfied with where they finished up in the league last term. 

‘It [last season’s finish] was something great for us because at the beginning of the season if you look at where you are going to finish and you say third you are not too happy because we want to be champions at the beginning of the season,’ he told Sky Sports.

‘But with a lot of things that happened during the season, injuries, bad things with other players. Some of us struggled with performance as well but it was a great achievement to finish third giving the respect to other teams. It was a tough season, but this season we want more definitely.
