Family of old lady who died after being hit by motorcycle appeals for eyewitnesses
The family of an old lady who died after being knocked down by a motorcycle has turned to social media to appeal for eyewitnesses of the accident.
In a Facebook post uploaded by Jean Lee on Monday, 11 December 2017, the social media user claimed that she was urgently appealing for eyewitnesses or someone with a camera footage of the accident which took place at around 1pm on Sunday, 10 December 2017 at Blk 457 Choa Chu Kang Ave 4.
Ms Lee wrote that her grandmother has died, and requested for members of the public with information to call the Traffic Police at 1800-6547-0000.
The deceased’s daughter-in-law, who gave her name only as Kelly, told reporters that the family is looking out for information as nobody understood how the accident took place. The family was informed of the 79-year-old’s accident when the hospital called.
“It’s not a hit-and-run, but we’re calling for eyewitnesses as the police don’t have any,” said Kelly. She added that the motorcyclist is assisting them with the investigations.
According to Kelly, her mother-in-law was taken to Ng Teng Fong General Hospital upon the occurrence of the accident. The deceased had a total of four children and four grandchildren.
