The Supreme Court has extended the appointment of High Court judge, Justice Quentin Loh, for another 3 years. The 67-year-old was supposed to retire this month after completing his two-year appointment which began in December 2015.

In a statement yesterday, the Supreme Court revealed that Justice Loh’s new term will begin from 25 December. It added that with the re-appointment of Justice Loh, the court will have a total of 21 judges, including the Chief Justice, four judicial commissioners, five senior judges and 12 international judges.

Justice Loh is perhaps most well-known in recent times for rejecting former presidential candidate Dr Tan Cheng Bock’s legal challenge against the reserved Presidential Election this year.
