Malaysia, Singapore Agree to Create Stock Exchange Trading Link

Singapore and Malaysia said they will will create a trading link to connect their national stock exchanges.

The two markets have reached sufficient sophistication and maturity to set up a market corridor, Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak said at a Securities Commission conference in Kuala Lumpur on Tuesday.

Both nations will work on the regulatory arrangements for the link, which will connect markets with more than $1.2 trillion in market value and about 1,600 listed companies.
