Ho seh liao! Cyclist anyhow cut across traffic and caused traffic police to skid and crash!
A cyclist who had recklessly cut across traffic along a busy road experienced what could be termed as instant karma.
In a video that has been shared widely on Facebook, a cyclist decided to cut across traffic at Geylang Road, just before the lane turning into Geylang Lorong 4. He had attempted to cut across multiple lanes, going from the right-most to the left-most lane.
According to the timestamp, the incident took place at about 5:45pm yesterday (21 Feb).
Despite the heavy traffic, the cyclist seemed to have no qualms about cutting across the lanes so dangerously.
It was an accident waiting to happen. And, it did happen.
Coming up from behind was a traffic police on a motorcycle. With so many cars blocking the cyclist from sight, the traffic policeman only spotted the cyclist when it was almost too late.
To avoid ploughing into the cyclist head-on, the traffic police chose to take a tumble, swerving and crashing to the side.
However, the motorcycle caught the bicycle's rear wheel, causing the cyclist to crash as well.
Fortunately, both men were not injured. The traffic policeman could be seen apprehending the cyclist after the accident.
It was later reported that the cyclist was arrested on drug-related offences after the incident.
