These things obviously take time, and the decision on who wins the contract won’t be decided until January of next year. The delay on production means deliveries are highly unlikely to start in the first quarter of 2019 as originally planned, especially as work on the factory won’t be taking place until then, let alone the building of the cars. TVR boss Les Edgar told Autocar that he believes there is still room for a production start date of March, dependant on whether cars can be built in TVR's neighbouring facility as work takes place on the original factory.
