Selangor Selection coach Elavarasan sends warning to Singapore Selection ahead of Sultan of Selangor Cup
Malaysian Super League side PKNS FC are gearing up to represent Selangor state team in Sultan of Selangor's Cup for the first time in this year's edition and the side's coach E Elavarasan believes his team is ready to battle against the odds and emerge victorious.
In what will be a bustling evening at the National Stadium in Singapore tomorrow, the Selangor Selection side will face a star-studded Singapore Selection team after matches between School teams and Veterans.
PKNS, who have replaced Super League side Selangor, face a daunting task as they have to stop Irfan Fandi-coached side from defending the title in front of 30,000 fans (approximately).
The Selangor Selection side will not have invited players this year, unlike previous editions, and are set to feature only PKNS players, who will look for some inspiration tomorrow after having a horrid time in the local league. Notably, Elavarasan's men have not won a game in their last eight outings, with their last victory coming in February over Perak after which they were also ousted from FA Cup.
"The boys are all geared up and we will go out to try and get the result. Pride is on the line (for us)," Elavarasan said, as quoted by The New Paper.
