Wysa, a mental health tech startup based in India and the US, announced that it has raised US$5.5 million in its latest round of funding.

Wysa plans to use the new funds to promote its AI-driven platform to employers who want to expand their mental health benefits. The startup is also looking to expand its sales team and therapist network by stepping up hiring.With the latest infusion, the company has raised close to US$9 million in funding so far.This year, Accenture rolled out Wysa to 500,000 employees across 53 countries including India.Wysa, which is based in Boston and Bengaluru, said that its platform has facilitated over 100 million conversations with more than 3 million users in over 65 countries.In June 2019, the startup raised roughly US$2 million in a pre-series A round led by Pi Ventures.
