Laptops powered by discrete Intel Xe graphics, also known as Xe Max or DG1, are slowly starting to become available. We first saw the Xe Max being featured in the Asus Vivobook Flip 14 and now, we get to see the Acer Swift 3x sport the new dGPU.The Swift 3x is designed with the needs of those who need to go mobile with their creative workflows. The Swift 3x sports a 14-inch FHD IPS display that offers a screen-to-body ratio of 84% and can cover 72% of the NTSC color gamut. CPU options include the Tiger Lake Core i7-1165G7 and the Core i5-1135G7. While it is confirmed that the Swift 3x will feature Xe Max discrete graphics, information about the specifics of the GPU itself is scarce although we do know that it will feature 96 execution units (EUs) and 4 GB VRAM. We expect Intel to deliver more info about Xe Max in the coming week. The rest of the laptop is standard Swift design and includes an assortment of ports such as USB Type-C with Thunderbolt 4, 2x USB 3.2 Gen2, and HDMI-out. Network connectivity is ensured by the Intel Wi-Fi 6 card. The Acer Swift 3x will be available in Safari Gold and Steam Blue color options and will be available from December this year at prices starting from 899.
