Liverpool right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold has raved about former Reds star Raheem Sterling, claiming the Manchester City winger is now world-class.The Reds defender has been impressed by the evolution of the 26-year-old, who can play as an attacking midfielder or as a winger. While the duo never played in the same Liverpool team, they are regulars together on international duty with England.And, according to Alexander-Arnold, Sterling is a role model and now a world-class footballer.He told The Guardian: “The way Raheems evolved from a boy to a man has been spectacular.“Hes a role model for everyone around the country. A role model for me, definitely. Raheems turned himself into a world-class player and a world-class person.”Sterling has advanced his game since quitting the Reds for City in a £44million deal back in 2015.The 26-year-old scored 10 Premier League goals last season, despite largely being frozen out of the team by Pep Guardiola towards the end of the campaign. He also bagged 20 in 2019-20 and 17 in 2018-19.His England form has been incredible, with Sterling scoring three times at Euro 2020. Jurgen Klopp made a double dip into the transfer market on February 1 with Dabies and Ozan Kabak arriving.Davies, 26, signed a long-term deal at Anfield for an initial fee of £500,000, plus structured add-ons which could rise to £1.6m. But he has yet to feature for the first team. In fact he only made the bench four times in the Premier League, with Kabak given the chance to partner Nat Phillips.So it was no surprise when a loan deal for the former Preston man was mooted.
