FORT MAGSAYSAY, Nueva Ecija, Feb.21 (PIA) -- Philippine Army Commanding General Lieutenant General Gilbert Gapay bestowed Military Merit Medals (Interim) to one officer and seven enlisted personnel of the 7th Infantry Division (7ID).

The personnel were instrumental in neutralizing leaders of the New People's Army (NPA) that paved the way for them to be recommended for Gold Cross Medal, the 3rd highest award of the Armed Forces of the Philippines gained in combat.
