PETALING JAYA: Siti Nurshuhaini Azman will get to compete in the Uber Cup Finals afterall as she has been cleared to fly to Aarhus, Denmark. The 17-year-old will travel to Denmark through Amsterdam via KLM Airlines tonight - a day after all her teammates left for the Finals. "It's all solved now," said the Badminton Association of Malaysia (BAM) secretary Datuk Kenny Goh. "The reason that she was stopped at the airport yesterday was probably because the airlines didn't want to take the risk as she was not fully vaccinated," Nurshuhaini has been devastated when she was prevented from boarding at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) on Monday night because she had only taken one shot of the vaccination. She had received her first Pfizer shot on Sept 24 and supposed to take the second jab on Oct 15.Kenny said it was all clear for Nurshuhaini to travel. "We have checked with the authorities in Denmark and also the Netherlands (transit point), there will be no problem for her to enter. "She's flying tonight (Tuesday)." With the latest news, the smile is back on Nurshuhaini's face as she had been looking forward to competing in the Finals. She is the only player from the junior squad under Datuk Misbun Sidek selected for the major team event.
