Bruce Springsteen was reportedly arrested in November for ‘driving while intoxicated’ and is due to appear in court in the next few weeks. 

Law enforcement sources told TMZ that the Born In The USA star, 71, was arrested on November 17 in his home state of New Jersey. 

The singer was allegedly ‘cited for DWI (driving while intoxicated), reckless driving and consuming alcohol in a closed area’. 

Sources claimed Springsteen was cooperative throughout his arrest and should be appearing in court in the coming weeks. 

The news comes after Springsteen appeared in his first Super Bowl commercial over the weekend, appearing in an advert for Jeep where he shared a message of hope. 

The music icon also made chart history last October after scoring his 12th number one album on the Official Charts.

His album, Letter To meant he became the first credited solo artist to have a number one album in five consecutive decades, topping the charts in the 80s, 90s, 00s, 10s and 20s.
