Soap star Malique Thompson-Dwyer revealed he only said yes to taking part in Celebs on a Farm because he needed the money.

The MTV show, which begins tonight, will see Malique and a number of other famous faces being put through their paces by farmer Chris, as they learn all about the agricultural way of life.

Sounds easy, right?

Joining Malique on his mission to become the best farmer is Shaun Williamson, Lady C, Kerry Katona, Duncan James, Montana Brown, Cheryl Hole, Linda Robson, Harry Aikines-Aryeetey and finally, Holly Hagan.

Speaking to Metro.co.uk ahead of the series, the former Hollyoaks actor explained that the programme came at the right time because ‘work had slowed down’.

‘I was just taking jobs as they come because obviously work had slowed right down,’ he told us.
