PETALING JAYA: Malaysia’s top golfer Gavin Green is back in the groove by finishing joint-24th at the €3mil (RM14.76mil) Italian Open for his best result on the European Tour this season.

The 27-year-old carded an even-par 71 at the Marco Simone Golf Club in Rome on Sunday to finish on five-under 279 – eight shots behind winner Nicolai Hojgaard.
