The Golden Globes 2021 are set to be a historic event, with multiple women being nominated in the director category for the first time ever.

In a category that is often male-dominated across awards ceremonies, Chloe Zhao, who directed Nomadland, Emerald Fennell, who directed Promising Young Woman, and Regina King, who helmed One Night In Miami, have all been given nods.
