When Sali Hughes decided to make the considerable investment in breast reduction surgery, she knew it would change her posture and alleviate her neck pain. What she didn’t entirely anticipate was how it would change her sense of identity – for the better. 

Summer ’88 was quite the ride. I finished one term in a Tammy Girl 28AA bra, being called “Sali Sparrow Chest” by my classmate (one Robert Anderson). I started the next in a D cup, almost as if in vengeance.
