It’s time to have a dialogue about dialogs. Specifically, designer fountain pens – in a time where the push for digititalisation and new normals mount day-by-day – by a 91-year-old German pen manufacturer Lamy. 

These writing implements are fine examples of technical excellence in their own right – the application of urushi, a traditional Japanese hand-lacquering technique that’s been employed for millennia to beautify and protect said implements might even seem a little excessive.
