Leighton Clarkson believes training alongside Thiago Alcantara at Liverpool can help him prosper on loan at Blackburn Rovers. Clarkson will spend the season at the Championship side with the Reds keen for the 19-year-old to further his development with regular first-team action. The midfielder, who is a boyhood Blackburn fan, featured for Jurgen Klopp's side during pre-season and has regularly trained with the senior squad during the last 18 months. Its almost like you dont get used to it. He said youll do well, youll get on with the lads, theyre a great bunch of lads and everything about it is a great club.The fact that Im born here and this is my club, he said youll just go and smash it and hopefully thats what Ill do.Were different players, positionally, but he was brilliant last season.
