Kids grow out of shoes fast and it’s important to make sure they fit properly.

But no one wants to spend the afternoon trying to get your little one’s feet measured.

One mum has a solution to measure their shoe size and buy shoes without dragging them out to the shops.

The mum posted in the Mums who Cook, Clean and Organise – Australia group on Facebook about how she draws around their feet on a piece of cardboard and then cuts out the shapes.

It leaves her with something to judge the size and width of their feet.

She can just throw the pieces in her bag and head to the store to measure what size to buy.

Her post said: ‘When your kids have had a growth spurt and need new shoes but you don’t want to take them into the shops just yet.’

Over 3,000 people liked the post on Facebook, and other parents said it was a brilliant idea.

Some said they’d tried it themselves and would recommend it.
