Reanne Evans secured an incredible 10th UK Women’s Snooker Championship title on Sunday night as she beat Rebecca Kenna 4-0 in the final in Leeds.
The 12-time women’s world champion dropped just two frames on her way to lifting the trophy, securing whitewash victories in three of her four matches.
Evans was given a run for her money in the semi-finals against her namesake Laura Evans, with the Welshwoman leading 2-1, but the favourite powered back to book her place in the final.
Kenna, who was the second seed for the event behind Evans, won her first match of the event 3-0, but was pushed hard in the quarters and semis, first edging out Maria Catalano 3-2 and then Emma Parker 4-3.
The final was not quite as one-sided as the scoreline suggests, with Kenna getting significant points on the board in all four frames, but Evans proved to be superior in break-building and the safety exchanges.
