It’s no secret Microsoft likes to frequently change the look and feel of the Xbox dashboard. And now, it looks like Microsoft could be working on a major new redesign for the Xbox Store. The new Xbox Store redesign, codenamed Mercury, has been revealed in leaked screenshots this week. The screenshots were first revealed by @wincommunity on Twitter, giving us our first look at the new Xbox Store design.Needless to say, there are some drastic changes here. For one, the design is significantly different from that of the current store, with the navigation bar moved to the side. Throughout the app, the new interface implements Microsoft’s Fluent Design, giving it a clean and modern look.Update: Brad got his hands on the app, video below. The design of the new app looks a lot like the new Xbox app Microsoft has been testing for PCs, so it’s no surprise to see the company bringing a similar look to the Xbox Store as well. It’s not clear when we can expect Microsoft to introduce this new look for the Xbox Store, however. It’s possible the company could launch it with a new system update for the Xbox and not make a big deal about it. But there is also a chance the company could be planning for a big redesign for the Xbox dashboard to go with the Xbox Series X launch, and so this new Store redesign may not be revealed until later this year.Tagged with Xbox One, Xbox Store
