Leicester City and Southampton have ‘reached an agreement’ over the transfer of Jannik Vestergaard, according to reports.It was reported on Wednesday that the Foxes had made an offer for the Denmark international, which has now been accepted.This is according to The Telegraph, who claim Vestergaard will now discuss personal terms with the 2015/16 Premier League winners.Football is now full of Winston Bogardes; its all gone t*ts upLeicester prioritised the signing of Vestergaard due to injuries to Jonny Evans and Wesley Fofana.Fofana suffered a broken leg in a pre-season match against Villarreal following a horror tackle by Fernando Nino.The Dane impressed for the Saints last season as they finished 15th in the league.The 29-year-old made 30 appearances in the top flight, scoring three goals in the process.According to The Athletic, Tottenham, Wolves and West Ham were also interested in Vestergaard, but it looks like Leicester have won the race for the in-demand defender.The Foxes have so far spent £44m on Patson Daka from RB Salzburg and Boubakary Soumare from Lille, while Ryan Bertrand joined the club on a free transfer.Elsewhere, Southampton have signed Adam Armstrong from Blackburn Rovers to replace England international Danny Ings, who joined Aston Villa in a £30million deal on Wednesday.Armstrong was the second-top goalscorer in the Championship last season with 28 goals in 40 appearances.Hes been taken to St Marys for a fee in the region of £15m and has penned a contract lasting until 2025.Reacting to the transfer, Armstrong told Saints official website: Its unbelievable to be here such a massive club with a great fanbase and its just something that Im really looking forward to.I thought it was perfect as my next step. I wanted to get back to the Premier League from what Ive done for Blackburn, so Im over the moon.Saints boss Ralph Hasenhuttl added: Adam was a big target for us this summer, so we are very pleased to have added him to the squad, especially as there was a lot of interest in him from other clubs too.He will bring a lot of qualities to our team, and he gives us another good option in attack, which will be important for us.
