SHAH ALAM, Nov 9 — Selangor has been chosen as the host of the 7th Islamic Solidarity Games in 2029 by the Islamic Solidarity Sports Association (ISSA). 

Selangor Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari said the duty reflected the world’s confidence in the state’s ability to organise sporting events that involve the participation of 57 countries.

“The application to host was fully supported by the Federal Government and jointly presented by the National Olympic Committee Malaysia and the state government represented by Selangor Youth, Sports and Entrepreneur Committee chairmanNajwan Halimi.
