Singapore researchers develop pill that delivers medication to Parkinson's patients over 24 hours

From up to six pills a day to just one. Singapore researchers from Nanyang Technological University (NTU) have developed a new pill designed to deliver medication over 24 hours to patients of Parkinson's disease. This could mean fewer limb spasms, often experienced when the levodopa drug, or L-dopa, wears off. Researchers have started talks with the National Neuroscience Institute and aim to begin clinical trials by end-2021.
