New JTBC drama Beyond Evil has shared a peek at the first episode airing this week!The psychological thriller is about two men who are willing to break rules and the law in their pursuit of a serial killer. As they attempt to track down the murderer, they must repeatedly ask themselves, Who is the monster? Is it you? Is it me? Is it us?Yeo Jin Goo will star in the drama as Han Joo Won, a highly capable detective who seems to have everything going for him but harbors a hidden secret. He ends up transferring to the local police station in Manyang, where he becomes the partner of former violent crimes detective Lee Dong Shik (played by Shin Ha Kyun), who has been demoted to doing menial work. Lee Dong Shiks life changes when he reencounters an old serial killer case that shook up his world 20 years ago.The new teaser raises questions about Han Joo Woos hidden backstory. Han Joo Won, an elite detective with amazing skills, comes down to the police station in Manyang with a secret. Lee Dong Shik has to serve Han Joo Won, who is much younger than him, as his new superior. Lee Dong Shik introduces himself and holds out a hand, but Han Joo Won refuses to shake it, saying, I dont really like making physical contact with other people. This hints the rough beginning of their complex relationship.Han Joo Won discovers that Lee Dong Shik was a suspect in two cases of murder and kidnapping in the past, and Lee Dong Shik provokes him by declaring, I killed their youngest daughter. This only adds tension between them, and it increases curiosity about Lee Dong Shiks mysterious past.Furthermore, the video hints about a strained relationship between Han Joo Won and his father Han Ki Hwan (Choi Jin Ho), and Han Joo Won seems to be having a difficult time getting along with his new teammates at the Manyang Police Station as well. During a team dinner, the atmosphere grows thick with tension, and someone asks, Whats with the atmosphere?
