Chinese actor Xu Kai has incurred the wrath of netizens after uploading a selfie of himself using a mask as a headband.The 25-year-old shot to fame after starring in hit drama Story of Yanxi Palace, and now has over 15 million followers on Weibo.

On March 1, he posted this message: “It’s pretty useful as a headband, it’s just that my earlobes hurt.” The accompanying photos showed him pushing his fringe back with a black mask.
