You might not be familiar with the name Lan Lao or his moniker SKAI ISYOURGOD, but chances are you’ve already heard his tracks blowing up on your FYP.

The Guangdong-born rapper, best known for viral hits like ‘Ba Fang Lai Cai’ and ‘Ying Guo’ that dominated Douyin last year, is now making waves globally.

Even more impressive? ‘Da Zhan Hong Tu’ and ‘Ba Fang Lai Cai’ have cracked Spotify’s Viral 50 - Global chart, proving his appeal extends beyond Douyin.

‘Da Zhan Hong Tu’ even weaves in Cantonese opera and retro Hong Kong pop elements, creating a fresh, addictive mix that fans can’t get enough of.

Even Skai admits he didn’t see this coming.

"I didn’t have any grand plan — I just focused on doing what I wanted to do. and don't think too much about other things,” he said in a recent interview.
