Tottenham Hotspur captain Hugo Lloris has confirmed he is considering leaving the club after 11 years and will assess his options over the summer.
The 36-year-old, who retired from international duty shortly after losing the World Cup final, moved to White Hart Lane from Lyon in 2012 and has been an incredible servant for the club.
Lloris holds the record for most Premier League appearances for the north Londoners, playing 361 times, while his 127 clean sheets ranks him joint 12th in the all-time standings.
However, his form has dipped in recent seasons and he made a number of high-profile errors in an injury-plagued campaign, notably shipping five goals in 21 minutes away to Newcastle before coming off at half-time – a match that could be his last ever appearance for Spurs.
Lloris still has one year left on his contract with Tottenham but the club are actively looking for a new No.1 and the Frenchman has opened the door to a summer departure.
Speaking to French newspaper Nice-Martin, he said: ‘We are coming to an important moment, whether for the club or for me. It’s the end of an era.
‘I have desires for other things, I will ask myself quietly to study what will be possible.

‘But I don’t forget that I still have a year of contract with Tottenham and that in football it is always difficult to predict what will happen.
‘What is essential at the moment is to recover well from my injury. I’m on vacation but I continue to talk and do my training. My goal is to be on top in July, then we’ll see what the future holds.’
Lloris came through the academy at Nice before moving to Lyon and he has refused to rule out a potential return to the south of France.

He added: ‘Nice is my city, my club, my roots. There is a season that must end, as best as possible, with the goalkeepers in place.
‘I am not demanding, I have never forced things. We’ll see where fate takes me.’
Tottenham have identified the goalkeeper position as an area that needs strengthening this summer and are unlikely to stand in Lloris’ way if he seeks a departure.
The north Londoners have been heavily linked with a move for Brentford shot-stopper David Raya – though Thomas Frank has previously quoted a price tag of £40m – while Aston Villa’s Emiliano Martinez is another rumoured target.
