Since the death of Taiwanese actress, Barbie Hsuearlier this year, her sister, popular host, Dee Hsu has taken a six-month leave from her web show Dee Girls to grieve and focus on family.

Barbie suddenly passed away on February 2 after contracting influenza-related pneumonia while on a family holiday in Japan. She was 48.

According to a Chinese daily, a netizen claimed to have spotted Dee, 47, in a hotel in Seoul, South Korea.

In a couple of blurry shots, a mask-wearing Dee appeared visibly thinner while wearing a grey oversized sweater, leading to netizens being concerned over her wellbeing.

“It’s heartbreaking to see her so thin till she couldn’t fill out the coat,” read a comment while another wrote, “She’s almost unrecognisable. Your sister wouldn’t want to see you like this”.

Some questioned the validity of the pictures, suggesting they might be outdated and that it was too blurry to confirm it was former Kangsi Coming host.

However, the person who posted the photos said he had confirmed it was Dee after meeting her again in the hotel's lift, even asking if it was her.

According to him, she allegedly paused for several seconds before gently nodding in confirmation.

Some fans speculated that Dee was allegedly in Seoul to help remove Barbie’s name from the Korean household registry.

Barbie married South Korean musician DJ Koo aka Koo Jun-yup in 2022, three months after divorcing Chinese businessman Wang Xiaofei.
