“I’m So Cooked!” — Livestreamer Hyphonix Exposes Racist on Tiktok
During a recent live stream, popular live-streamer Hyphonix (@/hyphonix_yt), known for his pranks on video chat sites, revealed a racist incident when he removed his mask while video chatting random strangers on Ome.tv. John Daniel Shevchenko, better known online as Hyphonix, is a well-known American YouTuber and live streamer.
Hyphonix has built a large following by pulling pranks on unsuspecting people on various video chat platforms but mostly on Ome.tv. During one of his recent livestreams, he encountered two girls. At first, Hyphonix wore a mask that covered his entire face except for his eyes.
Hyphonix attempted a conversation and asked, “You okay? You have bronchitis?” as he noticed her coughing. In response, she told him to shut up and followed up with a racial slur.
Hyphonix swiftly lowered his mask and called out the inappropriate behavior, stating, “I just want to let you know, that that’s very fucking cringe.” Almost immediately, the girl recognized him, her expression changing as she realized the gravity of her actions.
She then experienced a sudden surge of panic and disbelief as she immediately recognized him and realized that he was livestreaming the situation, which heightened her anxiety. The repeated “No” expressed her distress and desperation as she processed the unsettling revelation.
The girl, clearly overwhelmed, continued, “I know you! I’m so cooked! Oh my god!” Her reaction revealed the immediate fallout of her actions, as she realized the livestream could potentially reach thousands of viewers which she was right about.
With Hyphonix’s 4.2 million followers on TikTok, his parting words, “See you on TikTok,” only deepened her regret as she understood the vast audience that would see the incident.
Hyphonix, true to his words, posted the clip on his TikTok, which garnered thousands of views. The comment section was filled with viewers’ reactions to the incident.
One user responded with sarcasm, commenting, “Wow I’m sure they’re very religious and conservative when they’re not in front of a screen,” implying a contrast between the girl’s online behavior and her real-life persona. Another user chimed in with, “She’s so cooked.” Here, “cooked” is Gen Z slang for being “done for” due to making such remarks.
While another user expressed frustration with the video, asking, “What is people’s problems just spouting stupid shit? They ain’t got no shame or dignity?” suggesting that people always speak without considering the impact or how it reflects on them.
Aside from TikTok, the video has been making rounds on Reddit, where it’s also drawing a lot of attention. While some Reddit users were confused about what was happening, others stepped in to explain the situation.
