“Which Country?” Tourist Asks After Traffic Marshall Informs Him About NDP Rehearsals In S'pore

With less than two months left until Singapore's 60th birthday, rehearsals for this year’s National Day Parade at The Padang and Marina Bay have begun.
Last weekend, TikTok user @argesonmascardo captured a hilarious interaction between a security guard and a tourist that left everyone in stitches.
In the clip, presumably taken during the first combined rehearsal on June 14, a security guard was facilitating traffic flow in front of a blocked-off area near The Fullerton Hotel. He was speaking to pedestrians, guiding them on the route to take to their hotel.
When asked by a tourist about the roadblock, he replied: “There [is a] display for National Day rehearsal, our National Day Parade rehearsal.”
The tourist then asks: “Which country?”
Which? Country?
The security staff took a second to register the question before exclaiming: “Singapore! National Day Parade!”
He began chuckling, then very kindly went on to elaborate: “Our National Day, Singapore’s birthday. The rehearsals [take place] every Saturday until the 9th, [August 9] is the actual day.”
He only managed to take two steps away from his original spot before he was tickled by the question again, chuckling to himself. We don’t blame him at all — even the OP himself couldn’t help but let out a soft laugh during the interaction.
Netizens loved the security uncle’s reaction, with some praising him for being pleasant and patient with the tourist.
There were also those who found the tourist’s question amusing, with one netizen writing: “You mean got country celebrate other country’s National Day?”
