加拿大食品价格飙升。

加拿大的食品价格自今年1月起就不断攀升，当中以粟米及糖价涨幅最大，当中原因包括食物收成受到全球新冠疫情影响，加上中国对粮食需求增加。专家警告，加拿大食品价格短期内不会回落。

研究人员发现，自今年初以来，加拿大的粟米价格加幅最大，已增加了84%；糖价格则上升了59%居次，小麦和咖啡的价格，亦分别增加了超过19%和13%，其他相关副食品价格也跟随上升。整体来说，加拿大国民今年在食品相关的开支，人均增加了约5%，即约700加元（2319令吉）。

戴尔豪斯大学教授沙勒布瓦表示，食品价格上涨除了因为疫情影响食物收成的成本之外，中国对粮食需求增加也是因素，他说相比起北美，中国的经济正在复苏，每季的经济增长达18%。
