Singapore has the reputation of being a melting pot of races, but it took us very long to get to where we are today.
Having lived through 'different' times, former Senior Minister Tharman Shanmugaratnam and his Japanese wife, Jane Yumiko Ittogi, shared their thoughts and visions on social issues and improving social mobility in Singapore during a youth-led conversation organised by non-profit Access Singapore on Saturday (Aug 19).

Yes, on the surface, we seem to be non racial issues, but even within the supper white , I had already seen some indication of racial issue.
