This unique half-day open house promises an afternoon of gentle horses, engaging activities, and a meaningful cause—all rolled into one.

A Day with Therapy Horses

At the heart of EQUAL’s Open Stables Day is a chance to meet their lovable herd of 15 therapy horses—a calming mix of miniature horses and retired racehorses. These horses play a key role in EQUAL’s animal-assisted programmes, which support children, youths, seniors, families, and persons with special needs. Whether you’re an animal lover or curious about how horses can heal, this is your chance to witness their magic up close.

Activities for All Ages

Open Stables Day is designed to engage every age group, making it the perfect weekend outing for families. Here’s what’s lined up:

Stable Tours ($20/pax): Get a guided look around the stables and learn more about how therapy horses are cared for.

Behind-the-Stables Experiences ($100/pax): Go deeper with exclusive access and immersive interaction with the horses.

Meet & Greet with Horses ($10/pax): A must for kids—gentle pats and selfies with these calm companions.

Hands-on Art Workshops & Games: Fun and creative activities for the little ones and young at heart.

Food & Retail Pop-Ups: From Birds of Paradise Gelato to handmade goods by Curious Creatures, there’ll be treats and trinkets to enjoy and take home.

Support the “Rent & Roof” Campaign

Entry to the event is by donation, and all proceeds go towards EQUAL’s “Rent & Roof” campaign. The goal? To build a much-needed roof over the charity’s open-air arena so therapy sessions can continue rain or shine. Funds also support the care of the horses and ensure that EQUAL’s impactful programmes reach those who need them most.
