Hong Kong’s Boutir sees growth potential in Southeast Asia
Boutir Limited, a Hong Kong-based company that developed a mobile app which helps merchants easily set up their online store and manage inventory, says it sees immense growth potential in the Southeast Asia region.
Eric Ng, Founder of Boutir, says he expects strong growth in SEA countries to continue through 2020, specifically in the social eCommerce segment.
He says thanks to free trade and integrating of mobile, social and eCommerce tools, along with a proven subscription model developed through a multi-year effort in Hong Kong, Boutir is setting its target at 4x revenue growth for 2019 that would further solidify its foothold.
Eric Ng noted that Boutir started developing the Malaysia market in January 2019 and is committed to enhancing merchant connectivity across the region.
Ng says the availability of its service in the SEA market and the enhanced connectivity will help the international efforts of Hong Kong merchants.
“Marketing is an integral part of a successful business. To help merchants achieve marketing autonomy and their ultimate success, we are officially entering into a commerce partnership programme with Facebook to develop features for ad placements and optimisation in mobile apps.
“Leveraging on such advantage, we have confidence in setting up this new revenue model for high growth and success,” he said during a workshop in Kuala Lumpur.
During the workshop, Boutir’s local partners shared their insights on how to market and run an online business. The merchants had time to interact and engage in networking with the speakers.
