KOTA KINABALU: A well known dive site here located just behind Gaya Island has sunk into the ocean due to bad weather today.

The news of the sunken pontoon took many in the local dive community by surprise.

It was believed to have been caused by Tropical Depression Marilyn from the Philippines.

The weather phenomenon is currently causing havoc across the Philippines, and it effects can also be felt as far as Sabah.
