Plastic waste is poisoning the environment as we navigate through the climate crisis upon us.

While we try our best to lessen the impact by saying no to plastic straws and single use plastics, a Malaysian student took it one step further…

Armed with 9.5 litre plastic water bottles bases, 20-year-old college student Ang Li Qin created a chic sling bag that she calls “Scum-bag”.

The clever pun perfectly encapsulates how one’s scummy trash can be transformed into a fashionable treasure.

Li Qin told Malay Mail that she wanted to create something helpful that anyone can use. Hence, a portable and super useful bag!

We’re not the only ones impressed by Li Qin’s creativity though. Her trendy creation also caught the eye of the Spritzer Natural Mineral Water “Eco Art Competition” where she won the GRAND PRIZE!
