Australian envoy hopes to see positive progress on RCEP by year-end

KUALA LUMPUR (Oct 30): Australian High Commissioner Andrew Goledzinowski hopes to see positive progress in the conclusion of the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) among its member states by year-end.

He was referring to International Trade and Industry Minister Datuk Darell Leiking's comment in September that Malaysia’s priority is to conclude the RCEP negotiation which includes 10 member states of ASEAN — Malaysia, Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam — and its six FTA (Free Trade Agreement) partners, namely China, Japan, South Korea, Australia, New Zealand and India.
