Muslim League Penang wants punishment increased for drunk drivers

KUALA LUMPUR: The Muslim League Penang is calling for the government to amend existing laws pertaining to driving under the influence of alcohol.
Citing the recent case in which Mohaidin Gani Mohamad was killed after he was knocked by a Chinese national who was driving under the influence of alcohol in Penang, the league's president Datuk Haja Najmudeen Kader said the law should be tightened and awareness amongst public should be increased.
