THE newly formed management corporations (MC) for Pangsapuri Pelangi Blocks 3 and 5 and for Pangsapuri Pelangi Blocks 7, 9 and 11 in Penang are looking for agents to manage the area’s five-block residential property. Pengkalan Kota assemblyman Daniel Gooi said the two MCs were established in accordance with the Strata Management Act 2013 (Act 757). “They are now looking for suitable management agents to run the respective properties under them. “The potential agents should be accredited and registered with the Board Of Valuers, Appraisers, Estate Agents and Property Managers (LPPEH),” he said. He urged interested agents to submit open interest applications to the management bodies via his service centre by 6pm on Tuesday, Dec 17. He was speaking at a press conference at his constituency service centre at Pangsapuri Pelangi in Lintang Macallum. Pengkalan Kota assemblyman Daniel Gooi said the five-block residential property, which consists of 192 units at each of the 17-storey building, was previously managed by the Penang Development Corporation (PDC). “PDC, which helped build the 960-unit residential property of Pangsapuri Pelangi in 1998, had been managing it since then. “But, now, since Pangsapuri Pelangi of Blocks 3 and 5 along with Pangsapuri Pelangi of Blocks 7, 9 and 11 have their own management bodies, it is better for them to run the show.” Pangsapuri Pelangi Blocks 7, 9 and 11 management committee chairman Raman Athapan said they wanted a management agent to run their residential property as most residents in the committee were working adults. “Getting everyone together for a meeting is often hard, since each of us have our own working time schedules. “Besides, we are always not around during the day, so it would be inconvenient to address things that may happen while the committee members are at work. “So, we thought of a management agent that could handle concerns involving our residential property,” he said. For more details on the open interest registration, please call Gooi’s service centre at 04-250 1522.
