Fiji to grow 30 million trees in 15 years for environment protection

SUVA (XINHUA) - The Fijian government aims to plant 30 million trees in 15 years to save the environment, a Fijian government minister said on Friday (Jan 10).
Speaking at the launching of the 2020 tree planting initiative for Naitasiri, one of the 14 provinces on Fiji's main island of Viti Levu on Friday, Fiji's Minister for Forests Osea Naiqamu said his ministry is committing 60 per cent of its employees towards the government's tree planting initiative this year.
