Sabah wants KL to scrap controversial pass for immigrants after Kimanis by-election loss

KOTA KINABALU (THE STAR/ASIA NEWS NETWORK) - Malaysia's Sabah state government wants the federal government to scrap its plan to introduce the Sabah Temporary Pass (PSS) for illegal immigrants in June.
Sabah Chief Minister Mohd Shafie Apdal said on Wednesday (Jan 22) that last weekend's Kimanis by-election defeatwas a sign from constituents that they did not want the PSS. The decision to scrap the PSS was made by the Sabah state Cabinet led by him.
