Former Pahang assemblyman Omar Othman dies

KUANTAN: Former Pahang assemblyman Datuk Seri Dr Omar Othman died of cancer-related complications at a private hospital here at 6.52am today. He was 70.

Omar was Bukit Betong assemblyman from 1986 until 1990, when he became Jelai assemblyman – a post he held for 14 years.

He was appointed Pahang state executive councillor for three terms starting in 1991 and held the basic facilities, rural development and tourism portfolio.
