The Asteroid(52768) 1998 OR2 came within a "close" distance of Earth today (April 29), meaning it flew within five million miles of our planet. The asteroid is classified as a near-Earth object (NEO) and is one of the dozens of spacerocks to safely zip by this month. At its closest, NASAsaid Asteroid OR2 would come within 3.9 million miles (6.29 million km) of our homeworld.
