Jurgen Klopp has defended his decision to leave Mohamed Salah on for the full 90 minutes as Liverpool drew 1-1 with FC Midtjylland in their final Champions League group game. The Egyptian was a surprise starter for the Reds in Denmark, retaining his place from Sundays 4-0 victory over Wolves as Klopp made eight changes to his starting XI. But he wasted no time in opening the scoring, taking just 55 seconds to fire Liverpool ahead to become the Reds outright leading goalscorer in Champions League history.
