A desperate mum is scared for her five children after years of living in a mouldy council house.
Laura Jackett, 29, has had to constantly throw out toys, clothes and other soft furnishing over the years because of the damp issues at her home in Cornwall.
The stay-at-home mum and her partner Christopher Pearce, 31, rely on Universal Credit and say the state of the property is "disgusting" and "embarrassing."
They also fear for the long-term health impacts on the children, aged between 11 and two, who suffer from constant coughs and colds, reports Cornwall Live.
Laura, who has lived at the property in Liskeard for almost seven years, believes the damp stems from a problem in the roof.
She said: “I’ve tried to repair things numerous times but even the wallpaper just falls down straight off the walls.
"It looks like before I moved in, they just slapped wallpaper up to cover it all.
“I’m worried because it’s later in life when lung conditions begin to show and I just don’t know if it has already done damage now to my children.
