Gallery: Book Retailer Opens a New Chapter in Shanghai

Japan’s biggest book retailer, Tsutaya Books, opened a new branch in a historical building in Shanghai last week, its second on the Chinese mainland. The bookstore features some 50,000 books and an exhibition hall featuring Japanese and Western cultural themes. Its design is reportedly on a par with a Tsutaya store in Tokyo which has been identified as one of the world’s most beautiful bookstores
