90 per cent of smuggled cattle infected with FMD - Maqis

RANTAU PANJANG: 90 per cent of smuggled cattle brought into Malaysia were found to have been infected with Foot-and-Mouth disease (FMD).
Malaysian Quarantine and Inspection Services Department (Maqis) director-general Saiful Yazan Alwi said the disease might also spread to other livestocks if the matter was left unchecked.
