The Tokyo Olympics will be held this summer, but only local fans will be allowed to attend.

The decision to bar spectators from outside of the country was announced after a virtual meeting between the International Olympic Committee, the governments for both Japan and Tokyo, the International Paralympic Committee and local organizers.
